Closest Airport Needed

We are flying up to Sanbridge Beach (Virginia Beach) for the Thanksgiving holiday and trying to find the closest airport to the area. We were told that Norfolk International was most likely the closest but at one hour away from our final destination (Sandbridge Beach) we were hoping there might be a closer airport somewhere . If anyone knows the area and can tell us if we have any other alternative to Norfolk Interenational either way the information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!!!!
